Introduction

One of the first games I ever interviewed before I got involved with Gamers Galaxie is Uldor! It was a fantastic conversation with Graslo, who is developing at Max Level Studios! This project has a captivating storyline and a rich lore to explore. It has been some time since I discussed it, so I decided to provide a detailed analysis of the whitepaper because I truly believe this is a hidden gem and I am genuinely thrilled about it! I have added the Gamers Galaxie podcast with Uldor at the very end.

About Uldor

Uldor is a open-world MMORPG that has PvP & PvE! It is rich with lore and a very rich story line to be captivated with!

Uldor is a war-torn world with various civilisations struggling amidst conflict. In the desert, there's a civilisation under an empire, with strong religious beliefs tied to the sun and moon. To the east, islanders are skilled seafarers with a spiritual connection to their ancestors and myths of a great dragon. Remnants of a fallen empire exist in the shadow of stone castles, facing threats from within and without. Meanwhile, ancient evils are stirring, posing a greater danger than the ongoing wars. In this world, every action taken by individuals or factions could significantly impact the balance of power and the fate of Uldor.

Uldor is being built by Max Level Studios, who are gamers and developers building the next generation of games. They believe in leveraging the latest technology to provide gamers with fun and immersive experiences.

Their team consists of highly skilled individuals who are both avid gamers and experienced professionals in game development and artistry. They’ve collectively worked with renowned brands like Marvel, Ubisoft, Warner Brothers, Paramount, SCS, and others, contributing to the success of games that have sold millions of copies. They’re leveraging decades of experience to establish a groundbreaking studio focused on innovation, engaging gameplay, and prioritising the player's experience above all else.

Lore

Uldor is so rich in lore that it blows my mind, which I feel needs to be focused on to get the setting and feel of the game before playing.

Empire of Zetan

Zetan

The Empire of Zetan was a dominant force in Uldor for over a millennium, formed from the merging of various cultures and nations like Kilan, Karg, and Tamana. Its rise to power began with the legend of the first Guardian, a mysterious traveler who defended the town of Zetae from attackers, inspiring others to unite against threats. Zetan's people constructed a formidable city of stone fortresses to safeguard against future invasions and expanded their empire through conquest. They established the Guardians, a skilled military force, to protect their lands and created the Furies to maintain internal peace. Zetan's history is rich with tales of bravery and strength, shaping it into a formidable and storied empire.

Isles of Kilan

Kilan

Kilan, an island nation in the eastern seas, is a formidable and mystical land. Its people, the Killanese, are skilled seafarers with swift and sleek ships, renowned for their ability to navigate treacherous waters. The true wealth of Kilan lies in their volcanic mines, where rare gems are abundant. The Killanese are deeply spiritual, honoring their ancestors as deities who watch over and guide them. Legends of a periodic dragon awakening from a volcano fire their imagination, though the real dangers lie in the ancient temples hidden in the jungle. Kilan was once ruled by a mighty Khan, and its heart boasts a great lake surrounded by a tropical jungle. The jungles hold remnants of ancient times, and the Killanese, adept warriors, navigate these lands with skill. They are wary of outsiders, valuing honour even in conflict. Kilan, with its blend of beauty, danger, tradition, and myth, is where reality and legend intertwine as the sea meets the sky.

Karg

Karg is an ancient civilisation nestled in a scorching desert, protected by a towering wall and formidable mountains. The heart of the city-state is the Great Pyramid, a massive structure serving as a bustling city, originally built as a refuge from dragons. Despite enduring trials like attacks from neighboring regions and invasion by the Zetan Empire, Karg remains resilient. The people revere the sun and moon as creator gods and maintain a deep connection to their homeland. Despite facing hardships, they stand proud and determined to protect their land and people.

The Fall of Draga!

Now that we got the setting and the people down pat lets take a look at the backdrop…

The Zetan Empire, renowned for its longevity and protection of its citizens, faced internal turmoil when Emperor Draga became obsessed with preserving his power. Seeking the legendary Infinarium and obtaining it to secure his legacy and immortality, Draga's descent into darkness he began his transformation into Nycros, a twisted being commanding an army of undead. After a violent confrontation, Nycros was defeated, but his body and the Infinarium remained, posing a lingering threat. To conceal the truth, the Council of Elders fabricated a story of a dark creature killing the emperor. Draga's brother, Drokal, ascended to the throne, disbanding the Guardians and Furies in suspicion. The empire's stability eroded, leading to unrest and rebellion, exacerbated by the inadequacy of Drokal's Red Legion in maintaining order. The once peaceful realm now teetered on the brink of chaos.

Draga becomes Nycros, the Undead King!

This is really giving me Lord of the Ring’s, Game of Throne’s vibes here.

The lore of this game goes into great detail in the whitepaper! My summarising doesn't do it justice, so if you are reading this, I would urge you to visit the whitepaper and read it for yourself its truly captivating, and briliant story telling! Click Here!

Faction Battles

Uldor's faction-based PvP system offers players the chance to align with a faction and engage in large-scale battles for territory control. Factions defend their territory by erecting sentry posts and patrolling, while players can coordinate assaults to seize enemy posts and expand their faction's influence.

Successful captures allow players to bolster defences with walls, fortifications, and NPC guards, and they can contribute resources and gear to enhance these defences further. Faction zones, the heart of PvP action, are open-world areas where players risk encountering enemy factions, fostering intense battles and strategic manoeuvres.

Outside of faction zones, players can explore without the threat of PvP, but within these areas, the dynamic world unfolds. Territories unlock new content for controlling factions, including safe zones where NPCs can establish settlements, leading to the growth of houses, shops, and other structures. Moreover, unlocking new dungeons and quests adds depth and excitement to the gameplay experience.
